Snow Panther Malatang

We’re Snow Panther (commonly known as “Sunopan”), Kyoto University’s only officially recognized basic skiing club! ⛷️ From those who train rigorously to achieve great results in competitions and ski badge tests to those who just enjoy skiing casually, we all get along great and have fun together♪

Our club consists of about 50 members—first- through third-year students at Kyoto University. One of our best features is that we’re close not only with our peers but also across all grades🙆‍♀️

During the winter season, we train for competitions with a schedule comparable to that of a club. We have group training camps, of course, but we also do plenty of individual practice.

Even during the off-season, we’re packed with events—from off-season training like Pis Lab and inline skating to camping trips, driving, NF booths, and trips. 🙌

Sunopan, which runs a booth at NF every year, will be serving warming Malatang this year at “Snow Panther Malatang,” following “Panther Gyoza” and “Snow Chicken.” Please come try our warming Malatang made through countless rounds of trial and error! Be sure to pair it with beer or lemon sour 🍺🍋 We’ll be waiting for you at the North area of the Omatsuri hiroba!
