Rakugo Show:Gohantsubu×Kyoto University

Join us for a special rakugo performance featuring professional rakugo storyteller Sanyutei Gohantsubu and the Kyoto University Rakugo Club!

Sanyutei Gohantsubu performs a wide range of rakugo, from traditional classical stories to original creative works. Rakugo is a traditional Japanese art of storytelling in which performers use expressive speech, gestures, and simple props, such as fans and hand towels, to bring various characters and scenes to life.

Through performances by both a professional storyteller and university students, we invite you to discover the depth, diversity, and unique appeal of rakugo. Whether you are a longtime fan or experiencing rakugo for the first time, everyone is welcome!

Come and enjoy an entertaining experience filled with laughter and the rich tradition of Japanese storytelling.
