チーズフォンデュする?
Fri. 11/20 – Mon. 11/23
Right next to the camphor tree, just inside the entrance, the Kyoto University Fermented Foods Club is selling its original cheese fondue.
Their signature fondue sauce—perfected after countless test runs—features the rich, deep flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture of the cheese.
We’ve prepared four types of ingredients: juicy wieners, fluffy potatoes, colorful broccoli, and aromatic baguette.
Dip your favorite ingredients generously into the piping-hot cheese sauce and enjoy a moment of pure bliss!
This dish is packed with the passion of cheese lovers, created by cheese lovers, and made for cheese lovers.

Natto, cheese, kimchi, miso, bread… Fermented foods are a staple of our daily lives. At the Kyoto University Fermented Foods Club, we celebrate their deliciousness and have fun exploring the world of fermentation!
Founded in 2025, our club brings together around 70 students from universities across Kyoto, including Kyoto University, Doshisha University, Kyoto Women’s University, and Doshisha Women’s College of Liberal Arts.
We hold cooking sessions two to three times a month, making everything from bread and pizza to cheesecake. We also visit food manufacturers to learn how our favorite foods are made. And we don’t just eat fermented foods—we make them ourselves! Through hands-on activities and plenty of trial and error, we enjoy discovering the wonders of fermentation together.
Our activities extend beyond campus, too. By participating in local festivals and visiting businesses, we connect with the community and share our love of fermented foods.
Whether you love fermentation, cooking, or simply good food, everyone is welcome! Come cook, eat, laugh, and enjoy the wonderful world of fermented foods with us!
